The Datsun 240Z was Japan s equivalent to Britains sporting Jaguar E-type. By the late 1960s Nissan had begun work in-house on a new sports car designed specifically with American drivers in mind. It was equipped with a 150 horsepower 2.4-liter single overhead camshaft straight-six cylinder, independent suspension and disc brakes.
